Lily Allen's pet dog recovers 'from dog attack'

Tuesday, 02 March 2010
Pop singer Lily Allen has updated her Twitter page with a picture of her pet dog, Mabel, recovering from an attack by "bigger dogs".

The Brit Award-winning songstress said Mabel "got beaten up by bigger dogs".

"She went to doggy hospital, but she's ok."

Mabel was pictured looking sorry for herself on the singer's social networking account.

The dog had pink bandages wrapped around her legs after the attack and was curled up in her dog basket after the attack prompted an emergency after-hours run to the vet clinic.

Lily adopted the pet from Battersea Dogs Home in 2008 and changed her name from Honey to Mabel.

Mabel joined the pet owner's other dog, Maggie May, a white English bull terrier.

Maggie May was once stolen for a week in 2007 from a van in east London, but Lily was reunited with her pet and wrote on her MySpace page that she was "overjoyed" to have the dog back.ADNFCR-1425-ID-19645918-ADNFCR
